Messages
On June 1, 2022, a meeting of the General Assembly of the Association of Košice Cluster of New Industry – Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) took place in the historical auditorium of the UPJŠ Rectorate in Košice. The General Assembly chaired by Dr. h. c. prof. h. c. prof. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, DrSc., Rector of TUKE, was attended by representatives of the CNIC partners – Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Technical University of Košice, the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, the city of Košice, Košice Self-governing Region, Cassovia Discovery Park, Slovak Academy of Sciences and Louis Pasteur University Hospital in Košice.
During the discussion resonated, above all, the topic of installing a supercomputer built on the original technology of Tachyum Company in Košice, which would be embedded in a meaningful CNIC ecosystem. This would significantly accelerate the development of the new industry through the joint activities of the CNIC, Tachyum, and other industrial partners, which would lead to a significant increase in the competitiveness level of the Eastern Slovak region.
"After eight months of operation of the CNIC consortium, we were able to start all important processes so that 2022 meant a real launch of CNIC operations in all the planned areas of its activities," said the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Pavol Miškovský, after the CNIC General Assembly.
