About the Faculty

Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of Technical University of Košice, based in Prešov, has been shaping future professionals for modern industry for more than 30 years. As the only technically oriented higher education institution in the Prešov Region, it offers a unique combination of quality, innovation, and practical experience. Study programmes are provided at all three degrees of university education and respond to current labour market needs. Teaching has moved from traditional classrooms to state‑of‑the‑art laboratories, where theory is transformed into real‑world experience. The attractiveness of study is further enhanced by lectures delivered by industry professionals, excursions to leading companies, and close cooperation with industrial partners. Students have the opportunity to obtain motivational scholarships awarded to high‑demand and high‑quality study programmes.

A strong pillar of the faculty is internationalisation and cooperation with foreign partners. Thanks to programmes such as ERASMUS+, the National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic, and Ulysseus, students can complete part of their studies abroad. Teaching is also closely linked with practice through the SPICE project, which enables students to verify their knowledge directly in companies. As a result, graduates gain not only a diploma but also valuable practical experience and an excellent start to their professional careers.
