The UK Ambassador visited TUKE
On 18 June 2021, His Excellency Nigel Marcus Baker, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, visited universities in Košice. The initial reception took place at the premises of the UPJŠ Rectorate in the presence of three rectors – prof. Jana Mojžišová from UVLaF, prof. Pavel Sovák from UPJŠ, and prof. Stanislav Kmeť, Rector of TUKE. The main topics of the meeting were: presentation of research activities of the universities, international research cooperation, and the study of foreign students, of course in relation to the United Kingdom and the situation after Brexit.
After a tour of the UPJŠ premises, the Ambassador moved to the premises of our university, where he viewed with interest the OpenLab at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics, and the Robotics Hub Košice at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
