SlovakiaTech 2019

The second year of the international professional conference SlovakiaTech 2019 opened its doors on 8 October 2019 in the premises of Kulturpark in Košice. The rich programme of the conference, which lasted three days, was, besides stage performances, enriched with a presentation fair of companies focusing on science, research, and innovation in industry and industrial technologies, energy, logistics and environment. All these attributes were combined in an exposition of the Technical University of Košice with a presentation of various models and innovations that visitors could try and test themselves.

The organizers were pleasantly surprised by the interest in the TUKE exposition. Mr. Peter Žiga, the Minister of Economy, accompanied by Mr. Juraj Miškov, the President of the event, were among the first visitors who came to see the exhibits. With great enthusiasm, the exhibition was viewed by Mr. Dennis Hong, a professor and Founding Director of RoMeLa (Robotics and Mechanisms Laboratory) of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of California, or by Mr. David Rowan, the Founding Editor of the British edition of WIRED, and author of his own technology section of The Times, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller and The Sunday Times.

The TUKE exhibition was visited by guests from non-technical sectors as well. Marián Gáborík, a Slovak hockey forward and NHL star, with his wife Ivana, and Matej Sajfa Cifra took a walk-around in virtual reality.

If you missed this technological feast in Košice, here are a few photos and media coverage.
