EIT Climate-KIC partner meeting
The Technical University of Košice organized under the auspices of the Rector, prof. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, CSc., on December 11th, 2018 partner meeting in synergy with the EIT Climate-KIC. The EIT Climate-KIC is the largest European private public partnership to support climate innovation and climate adaptation, which is also supported by the European Union. The KIC knowledge and innovation community is working to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon economy. The aim is to expand such communities in the Central and Eastern European region.
The meeting was directed towards the interested Slovak actors in innovation and strategic cooperation oriented. Together, regional challenges such as environmental pollution, smart agriculture, which take account of the environment, accelerate the modernisation of buildings or the transformation of regions using coal as a source of Energy. Among others, participants learned about the impacts of climate change on the Central and Eastern European Region, which projects can be promoted in the framework of the EIT Climate-KIC, what are the forms of education in this area.
