On February 2, 2024, the honorary title DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA was awarded to prof. Ing. Vladimír Vašek, CSc., Professor of the University of Tomáš Baťa in Zlín under the patronage of prof. Ing. Peter Mésároš, PhD. the Rector of the TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY IN KOSICE in a ceremonial assembly held in the premises of the National Cultural Monument “WAREHOUSE OF SALT”.

Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Vladimír Vašek, CSc. D., belongs to the renowned and erudite experts with significant international reputation in the field of automatic machine and process control. He is a long-time supporter of scientific and educational cooperation between our universities.

He significantly contributes to the scientific and pedagogical growth of the creative staff of the Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies located in Prešov and other faculties of the Technical University in Košice, their publicity and increasing recognition in the scientific and educational international area.
