TUKE has been granted the fifth EUR-ACE certificate

University Highlights

Currently, the Technical University of Košice has five accredited study programmes which have been awarded the EUR-ACE® label. The study programmes are as follows: ´Mechanical Engineering´ in the first and second level of education at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, study programmes ´Architectural Engineering and Architecture´ in the first level of education and ´Architectural Engineering´ in the second level of education at the Faculty of Civil Engineering.

The Faculty of Manufacturing Technologies of the Technical University of Košice, based in Prešov, has been awarded the EUR-ACE label, effective from May 2019, for its study programme ´Computer Aided Manufacturing Technologies´ in the second level of education. It is the fifth EUR-ACE label certificate granted to our University. The certificate guarantees the quality of the engineering study program and at the same time ensures the scientific and academic quality of the study process.

The certificate also confirms the practical knowledge and skills of the graduates for their future employment. The first ceremonial awarding of the first EUR-ACE quality certificates for the study programs in Slovakia took place on September 7, 2017.

The EUR-ACE® label is included among “European Quality Labels” by the European Commission. This ensures the quality of the engineering study program and at the same time ensures the scientific and academic quality of the study process, and confirms the practical knowledge and skills of the graduates for their future employment. The international accreditation represents a trend presented in the Program Statement of the Slovak Republic Government (section HEI) in order to ensure an independent evaluation of the quality of higher education in terms of quality assurance in European institutions of higher education.
