Congratulations to the Olympians

TUKE proudly boasted the achievements of its students who represented Slovakia at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris. The Rector of the University, Peter Mésároš, and the University's management received the young Olympians - Nora Jenčušová and Róbert Kubín to personally thank them for their performances and great representation.

Nora Jenčušová, a twenty-two-year-old student of the Faculty of Production Technologies of TUKE based in Prešov, presented herself in the demanding discipline of road cycling. At the Olympics she competed in the women's individual time trial and in the mass start race, where she was able to assert her sporting skills and concentration.

Róbert Kubín, a twenty-one-year-old student of the Faculty of Economics at TUKE, represented Slovakia in sailing, where he showed his talent and dedication to the sport.

"We are extremely proud of Nora and Róbert for their work, dedication and achievements. Their participation in the Olympics is proof that our students are also capable of performing at the world level," said Rector Mésároš during the meeting.

The entire university cheered for both students during their competitions and rejoiced at their success. Nora and Robo are an inspiration and an example of sportsmanship for TUKE and Slovakia. We wish Nora and Robo many more sporting triumphs and successes on campus to the management, students and staff of TUKE.
