At the initiative of the MŠVVaM SR, led by State Secretary Róbert Zsembera, a roundtable discussion took place at the Technical University of Košice (TUKE) on October 8, 2026. The event focused on aligning secondary and higher education, research, and innovation with the practical needs of the Košice Region. TUKE representatives, led by the university's Rector, engaged in discussions with representatives from other government ministries, higher education institutions, secondary school founding authorities (from the Košice and Prešov Self-Governing Regions), and industry representatives from Volvo Car, Nippon Steel, and Valaliky Industrial Park. The dialogue explored opportunities for further collaboration and closer integration between secondary schools, universities, and the corporate sector, with a key focus on fostering student talent in Eastern Slovakia.
