This year, for the first time, Westinghouse included Slovakia in its international student internship program. In early July, two students from the Technical University of Košice—the only ones from Slovakia—traveled to the company’s headquarters in Cranberry Township, where they will gain practical experience in the field of nuclear energy until the end of the summer break. During the internship, they are working in specialized teams, familiarizing themselves with Westinghouse technologies, and participating in real­‑world projects that allow them to apply the knowledge they have acquired during their studies.

S. At the Technical University of Košice, we devote significant attention to nuclear education, research, development, and innovation, with an emphasis on addressing the scientific and technological challenges associated with the safe, sustainable, and innovative use of nuclear energy,” said the rector of the Technical University of Košice, Prof. Ing. Peter Mésároš, PhD.
