TUKE management led by Rector Peter Mésároš completed a working trip to Japan in April 2025 as part of the delegation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Slovak Republic. The aim of the working trip was to establish new contacts and strengthen existing cooperation with Japanese partners.

TUKE held bilateral negotiations with selected Japanese partners, which continued the current cooperation on the basis of the Memorandum of Cooperation with Waseda University in Tokyo, research activities with Tohoku University in Sendai, as well as the current project cooperation with the national research Hiroshima University in the framework of the international consortium of the project “GRBBeta nanosatellite” under the leadership of TUKE. Rector Peter Mésároš also presented information about TUKE to representatives of Japanese institutions at a meeting at the Slovak Embassy in Tokyo.

As part of the working trip, the delegation also visited Ryukoku University in Kyoto and the national presentation of Slovakia in the EXPO 2025 pavilion in Osaka, where the results of TUKE’s cooperation with practice in the field of biomedical engineering are presented.
