The award for pedagogical work, named after St. Gorazd, represents the highest recognition that can be given to educators by the Minister of Education.

The Minister of Education, Tomáš Drucker, on June 7, 2024, on the premises of Winter Riding Hall of Bratislava Castle ceremonially awarded gold, silver and bronze medals to educators who have contributed to the development of education in Slovakia. He also honoured bright pupils and students with the Memorial Letter of St. Gorazd.

There were also representatives of the Technical University of Košice among the awarded.

The Silver Medal of St. Gorazd was given by the Minister of Education to:

• PhDr. Anna Čekanová, PhD., from the Faculty of Aeronautics, TUKE, for her significant contribution to the development of higher education in the field of Military and Civil Aviation professional English,
• Dr. h. c. mult. Prof. Ing. Jozef Živčák, DrSc., MPH, the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, TUKE, for his significant contribution to the development of higher education in the Slovak Republic.
