As a beneficiary of the Recovery and Resilience Support, TUKE will build a new supercomputer, named Perún, and launch the supercomputer for the national supercomputing centre with a planned capacity of up to 13 PFLOPS, with the ambition to be ranked in the world's top ten energy efficient supercomputers in the “Green 500” ranking.

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) welcomes the draft act amending the Higher Education Act. In particular, it is beneficial to amend the competence of the governing board of the university as well as the competence of other bodies of the academic self-government of the university, which shall enable universities to direct the university's smooth running more efficiently and promptly, as well as to respond more flexibly to the needs of social and economic practice.

The Technical University of Košice (TUKE) organised the TUKE Children's University during four weeks in July 2024 (from July 1 - 26, 2024), which was attended by 240 children between 7 and 13 years old. Based on the number of graduates, TUKE Children's University is the largest summer children's university in Slovakia in 2024.
