Three Slovakian universities joined the ranks of those best in the world. Namely, Technical University in Košice , University of Komensky (UK) in Bratislava, Slovak Technical University (STU) in Bratislava, as follows from the prestigious world-wide rankings of Times Higher Education World University Rankings (THE WUR) 2018.

The WUR evaluates universities according to qualitative and quantitative indicators. Technical Universitty in Košice finished between 801st and 1000th places. The first place was taken by the University of Oxford.
