Student Personality of the Year at TUKE
University Highlights
It is said that very few young people want to devote themselves to science and research. That's not true. This year, the professional jury that selects the Student Personality of the Year, selected 102 nominations, successful students, and young researchers. Seventeen years ago, when the Student Personality of the Year Award was launched, there were only 25 nominations. This year, the jury of the Junior Chamber International – Slovakia selected the thirteen best, the winners of thirteen categories.
Michal Takáč from the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies won the prize in the category of metallurgy, engineering, and energy. In his research in the field of virtual reality applications for modelling and control of technological processes in metallurgy, he uses complex methods for mathematical calculations and their visualization. Both, his work and software were also appreciated by Google's developers.
Congratulations!
