Appointment of the Rector of TUKE
On 26 June 2019 Her Excellency Zuzana Čaputová, the President of the Slovak Republic, appointed five university rectors.
On the basis of the proposal of the Academic Senate of TUKE and after confirmation by the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic,
prof. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, CSc.
was appointed to the position of the Rector of TUKE for the period 2019-2023.
“Today, on a proposal of academic senates, I have appointed five rectors of public universities. I wished them to have a lot of courage, because from this day, they have a commitment not only to teachers, students or employees of universities and faculties, but also to the people of Slovakia and to the future of our country. Universities should be places where the intellectual, cultural and artistic potential of the country will be completed and enhanced. I keep my fingers crossed for the new rectors, because their success would help Slovakia very much,“ said the President after the ceremonial appointment.
Apart from the Rector of TUKE, four other university rectors were appointed.
