Awarding of honorary degrees Doctor honoris causa TUKE

On October 22, 2021, the awards ceremony of the honorary degrees Doctor honoris causa took place on the basis of proposals approved by the TUKE Academic Council on November 15, 2019. The award was given to Prof. Ing. Károly Jármai, DSc. from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics, University of Miskolc, as to a renowned world­‑class scientist for his active cooperation with the Technical University of Košice and its Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and great contribution to the University, as well as an expression of appreciation for many years of joint international projects and the support of the Technical University of Košice. The award was given also to Prof. Dr. Péter Szűcs from the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Engineering, University of Miskolc, for his significant contribution to the development of international cooperation with the Technical University of Košice, in the field of hydrogeology, geological survey and geostatistics, for the development of pedagogy, science and research, and education of young creative workers at the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies, thus helping to increase the prestige, quality and recognition of the Faculty and University at home and abroad.
