Ceremonial Inauguration of the Rector of TUKE
A ceremony was held on October 3, 2019 at 11.00 am at the premises of Aula Maxima of the Technical University of Kosice (TUKE) to inaugurate Dr. h. c. Prof. Ing. Stanislav Kmeť, CSc., the Rector of the Technical University of Kosice, in his functional period 2019-2023.
After the rector's oath, His Magnificence, Prof. Kmeť, introduced the new vice-rectors of TUKE and awarded them the insignia of vice-rectors. Prof. Ing. Ervin Lumnitzer, PhD. became the Vice-Rector for Education. Dr. h. c. prof. Ing. Anton Čižmár, CSc. became the First Deputy Rector and the Vice-Rector for Innovation and Technology Transfer. Prof. Ing. Ivo Petráš, DrSc. became the Vice-Rector for Science, Research and Doctoral Study. Associate Prof. Ing. Radovan Hudák, PhD. became the Vice-Rector for International Relations and Mobility. Associate Prof. Ing. Jaroslav Porubän, PhD. became the fifth vice-rector, namely the Vice-Rector for Development and External Relations.
n his speech, the Rector assessed the work done so far, and at the same time named new challenges and opportunities that TUKE might be facing in the coming years. Prof. Ing. Miroslav Fikar, DrSc., the Rector of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, delivered a talk in which he congratulated the Rector on behalf of all Slovak rectors. The president of KSGR Ing. Rastislav Trnka thanked for exceptional cooperation with the Košice Self-governing Region (KSGR), and the President of the Slovak Academy of Sciences prof. RNDr. Pavol Šajgalík, DrSc. appreciated excellent cooperation in science and research.
The end of ceremonial inauguration was artistically enhanced by the mixed TUKE choir Collegium Technicum.
