President of the Slovak Republic visited TUKE
On 6 February, H. E. Zuzana Čaputová, the President of the Slovak Republic, visited the University Science Park TECHNICOM where she was welcomed by the Rector of TUKE, prof. Stanislav Kmeť, as a part of her first official trip to Košice. The aim of the trip was a joint discussion with representatives of Košice IT Valley and IT companies on the development of the city and region focusing on value-added work. Members of the association informed the President that the IT sector in Košice has already been creating thousands of jobs and that the demand for more experts is growing.
At the end of the visit, the President visited workplaces of three selected startups, which are developing in the USP TECHNICOM:
- CEELABS - smart metering of electricity grids,
- Aponi - implementation of augmented reality in modern manufacturing companies,
- iPark - intelligent parking system.
