French Ambassador Visited TUKE

The morning of 2 July 2021 was in a spirit of strengthening the French-Slovak partnership as our university was visited by a delegation consisting of Mr. Christophe Léonzi, Ambassador of the Republic of France, Mr. Jean-Marc Cassam-Chenaï, Cultural Adviser and Director of the French Institute in Slovakia, Mr. Yan Pautrat, Attaché for Academic and Scientific Cooperation, and Mr. Ján Mati, President of the French Alliance in Košice.

During the discussion with the Vice-Rectors Radovan Hudák and Ivo Petráš, opinions on the law changing the management of Slovak higher education institutions and the project of connecting universities and Academy of Sciences in our city were expressed. Our membership in the Ulysseus alliance of European universities, in which Université Côte d'Azur is one of the partners, is a great asset and opens rich opportunities for future cooperation.

Finally, the first steps of cooperation within the existing thematic clusters were set, with particular emphasis on the one dedicated to space technologies. Honoured guests toured with interest the FEI Open Lab as well as the Biomedical Engineering Laboratories at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
