Open Doors Day at TUKE 2019
The Open Doors Day at the Technical University of Košice organized on October 15, 2019, attracted thousands of secondary school students again. Pleasant atmosphere was magnified by this year's "Indian summer".
The official opening of the Open Doors Day at TUKE 2019 took place in Aula Maxima. The visitors were welcomed by prof. Stanislav Kmeť, the Rector of TUKE, who shortly described the current position of the university in the European space and the possibilities of study and mobility as well as the support of creativity and innovative ideas, for which the necessary environment is created at TUKE.
The special guest of the event was a TUKE graduate, the current Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, Ing. Peter Pellegrini.
The individual faculties of TUKE were introduced by their deans in brief speeches. These faculty presentations started a wide range of promotional activities, demonstrations and attractions that took place throughout the university campus. The centre of the event was the University Library of TUKE in front of which the visitors were offered refreshments. In the interior, they could explore the presentation stands of faculties and exposition which represented our university at the international technical conference SlovakiaTech 2019.
