Today's faculty was established on July 21, 1969 as the faculty whose original name was the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Technical University of Košice. With effect from April 15, 1994 the Faculty of Electrical Engineering carries its new name: the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the Technical University of Košice.
The main objective of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics is to provide higher education based on creative scientific research, particularly in research areas such as computer science, cybernetics and artificial intelligence, telecommunications, electronics, electrical engineering, automotive electronics and electrical power engineering. These activities are ensured by 157 university teachers including 29 professors, 35 associate professors, 89 assistant professors and 4 researchers. To this day, the faculty has educated more than 14,000 graduates. The faculty provides scholarships in all its study programs.
Tuition fee for part-time bachelor study is set at €600 per academic year.
Tuition fee for part-time engineer study is set at €700 per academic year.
