First place at Falling Walls Lab Slovakia 2020
University Highlights
We know the winners of the prestigious competition of the international format Falling Walls Lab Slovakia 2020. Presentations of projects by young innovators from various fields of study were evaluated by an international jury, which focused on breakthrough factors, potential impact and the form of presentation.
1st place went to PhD student Ing. Miachl Takáč from the Institute of Control and Informatization of Production Processes of the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies TUKE, whose supervisor is prof. Ing. Ivo Petráš, DrSc., Director of the Institute and Vice-Rector of TUKE.
The winner of FWLS 2020 will represent Slovakia in the international final of the "Emerging Talents" category in the new digital format "The Falling Walls Breakthroughs of the Year", where young innovators will present their innovative ideas and projects online. The overall winner will be announced in the Falling Walls final, which will take place on 9 November 2020.
