Newly appointed professors from TUKE

University Highlights

On 18 November 2020, 27 new university professors collected the appointment decrees in the fields of habilitation procedure and appointment procedure (HP and AP) from the hands of the President of the Slovak Republic, H.E. Zuzana Čaputová, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport, Branislav Gröhling. Among the newly appointed professors were also members of the academic community of the Technical University of Košice:

  • prof. Ing. Jaroslava Kádárová, PhD., from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering TUKE appointed in the field of HP and AP “Industrial Engineering”,
  • prof. Ing. Marek Sukop, PhD., from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering TUKE appointed in the field of HP and AP “Production Systems”,
  • prof. Ing. Jaroslav Legemza, PhD., from the Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling appointed in the field of HP and AP “Metallurgy”,
  • prof. Ing. Jarmila Trpčevská, CSc., from the Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling appointed in the field of HP and AP “Environmental Engineering”,
  • prof. Ing. Juraj Kurimský, PhD., from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics TUKE appointed in the field of HP and AP “Power Engineering”,
  • prof. Ing. Jaroslav Porubän, PhD., from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics TUKE appointed in the field of HP and AP “Informatics”,
  • prof. Ing. Radim Rybár, PhD., from the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies TUKE appointed in the field of HP and AP “Acquisition and Processing of Earth Sources”,
  • prof. Ing. Martin Straka, PhD., from the Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies TUKE appointed in the field of HP and AP “Logistics.

During her speech, the President asked the newly appointed professors to always take into account in their future work that they are bound by education and even more by the title of Professor.

"Because it is you who can use your work to cultivate the most valuable possession we have – the moral and professional potential of our young generation, which represents the future of the republic,“ she said.
