On Wednesday, May 25, 2022, as a part of the celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Technical University of Košice, the "Picnic at TUKE" event was held at the TUKE campus. The event was organised for younger Secondary school students from Košice and its surroundings, at the time of the ongoing graduation exams of the upper grades. The event of Picnic at TUKE was opened by the Vice-rector for Education, Prof. Ing. Ervin Lumnitzer, Ph.D. In addition to that more than a thousand Secondary school students had the opportunity to spend a day at the TUKE campus. They were provided by presentations on faculties in faculty stands, presentations of departments of individual faculties, music performances of the group Girls from the Moon and the Timonova Conservatory, including the Giant Ninja Factor track, and sports activities with the Department of Academic Sports, as well as refreshments, and much more.
