Based on the conclusions of the Security Council of the Slovak Republic of 27 February 2020, the Slovak Republic has adopted a number of measures. At the same time, the Task Force at the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic will be evaluating the current situation of the disease COVID-19 (coronavirus) on a daily basis.

In this regard, the Technical University of Košice advises caution to all students and employees who are going to travel abroad for leisure or business, when considering traveling to countries where the the coronavirus is occurring.

A list of the countries where the coronavirus was confirmed can be found on the web portal of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic www.mzv.sk. In this context, emergency text messages will be sent to the citizens returning from abroad to their mobile phone number through the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.

Given the incidence of coronavirus in Europe, the Ministry also advises citizens to closely monitor their health condition during their stay and after their return from abroad for the time period of 14 days, and to contact their doctor by phone without delay in the event of respiratory disease symptoms. After observing the symptoms, people are asked to contact their doctor by telephone and not to go to a hospital in person in order to prevent the spread of possible infection.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic notifies all citizens of the Slovak Republic returning to Slovakia of possible delays at the border crossing points due to the preventive measures taken in connection with the spread of coronavirus in Europe.
